Hi JJ, Thanks for you feedback. I think You should read the Help/Howto first. 1. There is a setting to loop a single music. It's called 'Repeat One'. It can be reached from the right click context menu of the Playlist or from the local right click menu of the taskbar button. 2. You can also disable Playlist loop by unchecking 'AutoPlay' from Playlist context menu. 3. You can disable resetting channel parameters by using the 'Force Manual Mode' buttons: midiplayer_howto.html#a7 If you use 'Repeat one' then forced channel parameters won't reset even when the midi restarts. If you want to be absolutely sure nothing can override your settings then you should also disable 'Enable SySex in Files' option (Main menu -> Sysex options). To be clear: Midiplayer does not reset anything to default during seeking but processes the midi messages until the endpoint of the seeking. Reading the midi messages while seeking is necessary since Midi is not like mp3. Without this processing the player would not know the proper state of the synth at the given time and the midi file would sound bad. 4. I have tested XP and SB Live both with the original and Audigy drivers. Both work since both contain the required sfman32.dll. But on XP it's not always easy to install the right one. The kX project drivers miss this soundfont manager part. So if you have and SB card with hardware based midi (EMU10K1/2) you should try the Creative drivers. With the right drivers both 'Output port' and 'Soundfont device' should show the 2 hardware ports: 1. A: SB Live! MIDI Synth 2. B: SB Live! MIDI Synth | |||
